Interested in joining Troop 144?
On June 21st we will go to Carrigan Farms Quarry. Please see the details below.
1) The Open Swim time is from 10 am -3 pm. It takes about 55 minutes to get there, so we will plan on leaving from the church at 9 am.
2) We need a head count to know how many people will be coming and to reserve spots. The sooner the better. There will be a hard cutoff on June 10th for registering.
3) The quarry is very deep, and all participants will need to wear a life jacket OR pass a swim test when they arrive (conducted by the staff of Carrigan Farms).
4) The price is $35 PP. This includes Scouts, siblings, or parents. ONLY adult leaders do not have to pay for their attendance.
5) The fee includes a $5 food voucher. There is a place that sells food on site. THEY DO NOT PERMIT ANY OUTSIDE FOOD. Please send additional $$ for food as needed.
6) Transportation: This will depend on how many people register. We will have adult leaders drive, and may take the bus if needed.
7) We will be back at the church at 4 pm. If there is any change to this plan, we will send out an email on the day.

Weekend Camping & Activity Information
For packing lists for weekend and summer camps, click here.
Departures:
Friday departures: The Troop meets at the church around 6:00PM.
Saturday departures: The Troop meets at the church around 6:00AM.
Scouts load their gear onto the trailer and ride on the bus.
The Troop always travels in their Field Uniforms (Class As) unless otherwise directed.
Medications need to be placed in a Ziploc bag with the Scout's name on it, including clear instructions on when/how to give the medication. The Ziploc bag will be given to one of the Assistant Scoutmasters.
Returns:
You will always receive an email on Sunday mornings, usually between 10:00AM and 11:00AM, notifying you what time the Scouts are expected back to church after a campout.
Most camping trips return as close to 1:00PM as possible, since Sunday lunch is not included.
Please plan accordingly and be on time to pick up your Scout.
When you arrive for pickup, do not park in the lower lot.
Park in the upper lot and walk down to meet your Scout. The bus and trailer(s) need room to get in and turn around, and they cannot do so when your cars are parked back there.
If you would like to receive a text message in addition to email notification of return time, please activate text messaging in your Scoutbook profile (from your Dashboard, select My Account, then Edit Profile; select your Carrier and click Activate/Verify).
